Family
trip to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary was fun at the same time work on
few reference material for the artworks. Watched great numbers of
Asian Openbill's during our boat safari. We visited bird sanctuary
post breeding season hence was able to watch many young ones. The
beak of openbill is designed for a specific reason to crack open hard
and slippery shells, hence more time was spent on studying this
particular behavior at the time of my visit.
Last
night spent few hours working on this study work of the Openbill head
profile, using this dip is fun and challenging at the same time. Few
drops of ink on the wings is the indicator of how a small lapse in
attention can cause artistic accidents!
