Morning walk from residence through Chansandra towards Rampur Lake. Start time 7.am.
Birds spotted at Rampur Lake on 22nd February 2014. Made few sketches as well, however since my desktop as crashed, i am unable to use my scanner.

3. Black Drongo’s
4. White throat kingfisher
5. Pied Bushchat
6. Cattle egrets
7. Swamp Hen
8. White Ibis
9. White Shoulder Kite
10. Indian Robin
11. Ringed Parakeet
12. Brown Starlings
13. Field pipit
14. Burrow Owlet
15. Greater Coucal
Lake has been encroached from westside completely by constant trucks and tractors carrying sand waste, construction waste and dumping them on the shores of the lake. This illegal activity is endangering the survival of hundreds of birds dependent on this lake. Even the soil is losing its vital minerals due to this activity. Sad to see so many lakes getting wiped out!
